D4 - Coed | October 1, 2016 | Playoff | October Is Heating Up

D4 Coed Season was good, but could have been better

D4 Friday Night Coed League at Litton has finished its season. Four teams are getting prepared for the playoffs on Friday, October 7, 2016.

(3) No Name vs (2) Aja Video at 6pm.
(4) GV Printers vs (1) R.W.S. at 7pm.
Winners will play the championship game at 8pm.

I was expecting more from AJA Video, and I am sure they were as well, but with Kenny Gilbert leaving town, and the state, transitioning without him took awhile for AJA Video, but when they finally realized he was not out in the field, players finally stepped up. They ended with a 7 - 5 - 0 record for the 2016 season playing with some tougher talent than they did the 2015 season, but again, remember, they took the whole thing in 2015 when we played the playoffs on the weekend mixing lower divisions with higher divisions. They will be back next year with a better understanding of who they are now.

No Name has great players and when they are on, they are on, but there were a few times they were not even close. Finishing with a 6 - 5 - 1, No Name goes into the playoffs against AJA Video who they played three times this season winning only 1 of 3 games.

GV Printers has been around for a few seasons and they love to play, but somehow found themselves in a tough division. They are good players, and some are even awesome, but the cohesiveness was not there all season as they finished at 4 - 8 - 0. GV Printers has a tough battle against R.W.S. in the playoffs. GV Printers can do it if they bring their A+ game — odds are 10:1 against — one of the nice things about GV Printers, and pretty much all of the teams in D4, is they are having fun no matter whether they win or lose.

R.W.S. is a team filled with players that play more than just Coed. The Men play in Men's leagues, and the women play in Women's leagues. PLUS, they are all on touring, or traveling, competitive teams that go to Boneyard, Smoke, and many more tournaments. Does this make them unbeatable? Pretty much. Are they supermen and women? No. But pretty darn close. This is slow pitch softball; anything can happen. Odd's of R.W.S. winning the whole thing are 1:10.

Come out Friday, October 7, 2016 to Litton Field and watch the fun and excitement that Adult Coed Softball has to offer here in Grass Valley, Nevada County, California.
